1. I don't have an Archive.php file. Is that a problem?
2. My Index.php file doesn't seem to have a Wordpress Loop line of code the way the Ajax FAQ tells you to look for.

Without these elements will the plugin work?

1. No, the archive.php file is optional in most themes.

2. If I remember correctly, the K2 theme uses a separate file called theloop.php. Edits should be made in that file.
