New Paragraph started when expanding a Post's "More" link

This is on Wordpress 2.7 and the 1.24 version of AJAXed. I have my posts limited to a specific number of words, and then (...) shows up. Under this is a "Read More" link that loads the rest of the post inline.

When you click on the link, the rest of the post shows up as a new paragraph and does not continue where the (...) appears as it should.

The rest of the post starts in the correct place using the prior plugin that is no longer supported. However, I cannot get it to work correctly with the current product. Note I haven't yet upgraded to 1.25 so perhaps that may fix it?

If this problem still occurs in 1.25, how can this be fixed? I would think it is a simple change, but in pouring over the code nothing seemed to work.

It's caused from splitting the post into pages and then putting them back together. I'll take a look at it as soon as I can.
