Ajaxed WordPress

I've come across a strange problem with this plugin. I've set up so I can have my main blog index page have excerpts, with the click to read more working with ajax to show the reader the rest of the post. This works great. But I discovered when you click on the link to the actual post, some strange things are happening. By process of elimination I realized that it only happens in posts where there are photos that I've added captions to. The formatting for the photos is lost, and there's a bunch of html showing on the post. Then it seems to repeat the entire post a second time, this time with all the photo formatting and captioning correct. I'd include a link, but I had to disable the plugin so people don't see my screwed up posts. Anybody know what might be causing this?
