Your the AWP-plugin description sounds great, I have just discovered it and it is hopefully going to play a big rule on my new website.

With respect, I find it appalling that you charge for any help with using your plugin. A rule of thumb with any kind of plugin is that there will inevitably be usage and functionality issues for some users, and I personally feel you’re exploiting that.

I myself, am having a lot of trouble getting it to work, in fact it’s practically non-existent on my blog, and if I have to wait months before someone helps me via the WP forums then I will, because they’re simply trying to help, not looking to make money out of it. And if I have to use a number of other plugins to get the same results I hoped your plugin produce, then I will, because I’m a strong believer in helping your fellow man (or woman) without expecting anything in return.

I do appreciate your work on this plugin, It’s a shame about your “support” ethics though

I only charge people who want me to do the setup for them or a lot custom work that doesn’t help the project. If you browse the forums on this website, — I do not use the wordpress ones — you will find that 90% of support questions are not only answered but resolved, and not a single penny was demanded in exchange for responses.

Even if I charged for basic support queries, my time is not free even though the plugin is, and over 3 years of developing this plugin, I have spent hundreds of hours volunteering my time and effort without requiring anything in return, so you may not like that I display the paid support options more prominently than the free ones but that’s life.

I should point out that even the rates quoted for custom AWP-related work are about a fifth of those I charge people who hire me for other projects.

The one feature I’m looking for is a “New Comments” or “Refresh Comments” Ajax-powered button which user can click to see if any new comments have been posted on the page — without having to refresh the entire page. I scanned through your description and the FAQ and tried searching the forums and could find no mention of this feature. Is it available? I’m actually only leaving this comment to see if this feature is available here on the live “test blog” of this Ajax feature. So far I don’t see it.

If it is available, point me to a live site where I can test out the feature. If it’s not available, are you planning to add it in the future? And/or is there another plugin that offers the “new comments” button Ajax feature?
